The Apurina tribe lives along the Purus River on the Acre state border. Their rapéis very particular because of the color and method of production. It contains Awiri, special green mapacho, which grows wild along the river. Because Awiri grows very close to the river, it can be harvested only during the dry season, when the current allows it. That is why it is rare and unique. Mapacho is not fermented or heated, so it is raw and fresh.
Green color, distinct, fresh smell. Delicate and mild.
A rare and valuable product. We highly recommend it! We have limited supplies that come directly from the tribe. They were obtained from a friend who travels through South America and visits many tribes, with whom he exchanges goods regularly and whom he supports.
